Is this the Welsh Lake District?
The Elan Valley might just be one of the most beautiful places to explore in Wales.
Reservoirs, mountains, woodland and incredible Victorian dams , it really does have a bit of everything.
We followed the Penbont Difficult Trail, a roughly 13 km circular route. Despite the name, I found it really manageable and the scenery throughout was incredible.
