LikeMinded is run by Dan and Josh Butler. We’re a small, two-person project, and this policy is written in plain English on purpose — if anything here is unclear, get in touch and we’ll explain it properly.

What this site does and doesn’t do
LikeMinded does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies of any kind. We don’t sell data, because we don’t collect enough of it to sell, and we wouldn’t anyway. The only things this site does collect are described below, in full.
The waitlist
If you join our waitlist for the LikeMinded app, we collect:
- Your email address
- The region of the UK you tell us you’re in
- The date and time you signed up
- Which page you signed up from (so we understand what’s working — never shared or used to identify you personally beyond that)
This information is stored securely using Supabase, a database provider. It is not shared with any third party, is not used for advertising, and is only ever used to email you about LikeMinded itself — nothing else.
We only email you when there’s something worth telling you — most likely, when the app is ready to use in your area. We don’t run a newsletter and we won’t email you for any other reason.
You can ask us to remove your details at any time. Since we’re a small team without an automated system for this yet, just email us at the address above and we’ll delete your entry, normally within a few days.
Cookies
We don’t set cookies to track you, build a profile of you, or serve you adverts. Some strictly technical cookies may be set automatically by our web hosting or caching software, purely to help pages load faster — these don’t identify you and aren’t used for tracking.
Fonts
This site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. Loading a font this way means your device makes a request to Google’s servers, which — like any request to any server — includes your IP address. This is standard practice across most of the web and Google does not use this specifically to build an advertising profile of you, but we think it’s worth mentioning rather than leaving out.
Links to other websites
Some pages link out to third-party websites — AllTrails, Komoot, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and similar. Once you click through to one of these, you’re on their site, governed by their own privacy policy, not ours. We’d encourage a quick look at theirs if you’re ever unsure.
Server logs
Like virtually every website, our hosting provider automatically keeps basic technical logs (such as IP addresses and browser type) for security and performance reasons. This is standard infrastructure-level logging, not something we access or use to identify individual visitors.
Children
LikeMinded isn’t aimed at or designed for children. If you’re a parent or guardian and believe a child has signed up for the waitlist, contact us and we’ll remove their details.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in future, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll say so clearly rather than quietly editing it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected if it’s wrong, and to have it deleted. For a project our size, the simplest way to exercise any of these is just to email us directly.
